Working with Adults
Adult mental health can be influenced by a number of things, from current environment and relationships, to previous traumas or life events, to underlying medical conditions and neurodivergence. It is estimated that 1 in 5 adults struggle with mental health problems every year, which is the equivalent to over 40 million Americans (source: mentalhealthamerica.net). Our practice uses an integrated approach to mental health. We understand that therapy and medication can be very helpful, as can exploring dietary choices, sleep, and physical activity. Our methodology involves working with the client in an integrated and personalized way so that we can design a support plan that incorporates not just therapy and medication, but also a roadmap for healthy habits for overall well-being.
We provide support for:
- Anxiety
- Support surrounding gender and sexuality (we are LGBTQIA+ affirmative)
- Distress related to world events
- Neurodiversity affirming support for neurodivergence (e.g., Autism, ADHD, etc.)
- Bipolar Disorder (Manic-Depressive Illness)
- Coping with Traumatic Events
