As a therapist, Anna’s extensive experience and therapeutic style create a safe and supportive environment for her clients to feel seen and heard. She uses a person-centered approach and a compassionate presence, with empathic and attuned listening skills to support client’s goals and healing. Anna uses an eclectic and specialized combination of expressive art therapy and talk therapy, which enables the client to recognize experiences causing distress and to identify the possibilities for resolution. She weaves clinically effective techniques into the therapy, including CBT, DBT, ACT, MBSR, along with psychoeducation to allow understanding and learning. This allows the client to deepen insight into the therapeutic experience, supporting positive change. Anna is also an EMDR trained therapist (Level 1) and continues with EMDR advanced training ( Level 2).

Anna applies up to date, evidence based, and informed approaches for the adolescents and adults with whom she works. Therapy with Anna is affirming, strengths based and culturally sensitive. Anna offers collaboration with each client’s support community, including those like school counselors and teachers, as appropriate.

Anna is an animal lover and current cat mom to an adopted Calico (who likes to make appearances on camera occasionally!). She spends her free time on home DIY projects, gardening and crafts.
