Filial Play Therapy empowers parents and caregivers to strengthen their bond with their child through play. Guided by a trained therapist, families use structured play sessions to foster communication, build trust, and support emotional growth. This evidence-based approach promotes healing, connection, and resilience in children and their families.
Session for February | Fridays at 10:00 am
- Participants: Parents with children age 4 -10 years
- Duration: 4-week program | once a week session | 60 minute Zoom sessions
- Dates: February 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th

Rachel Scharf, is a highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience in child development, family dynamics, and therapeutic play. Passionate about supporting families, Rachel specializes in Filial Play Therapy, an evidence-based approach that strengthens parent-child relationships and fosters emotional growth.
As an interactive and engaging facilitator, Rachel creates a supportive environment for parents to learn practical skills that enhance communication, empathy, and connection with their children. Through important sessions, Rachel provides caregivers with the tools to navigate challenges, build resilience, and foster a deeper understanding of their child’s emotional needs.
