Olesea Beyer

MSN, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Olesea Beyer is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 11 years of healthcare experience, working with patients in both hospital and outpatient settings. She specializes in prescribing and managing psychiatric medications, offering certain brain stimulation therapies, and providing individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She offers both in-person and telehealth appointments.

Trained under WBMA’s expert psychiatrist and medical director, Dr. Gonzalo Laje, Olesea’s approach is warm, supportive, and solution-oriented. She believes that good mental health care isn’t one-size-fits-all, so she takes the time to understand each person’s full picture: their physical health, developmental differences, personal and social history, cultural background, values, and individual preferences. Olesea warmly welcomes LGBTQIA+ individuals and is neurodivergent-affirming in her approach. Committed to care that is inclusive, respectful, and free of judgment.
Olesea is a member of the Maryland Academy of Advanced Practice Clinicians, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional development and high-quality, evidence-based care.

Patients often describe Olesea as knowledgeable, efficient, and genuinely caring. She strives to create a safe and comfortable space where individuals and families feel heard and confident in their care.

In her free time, Olesea enjoys reading, eating, awkward jokes, spending time actively in nature, exploring destinations near and far, and especially bringing people together over conversation and food. Olesea is interested in anthropology and philosophy, and she founded and moderated The Village – Philosophical Conversations about Life, a space where people from all walks of life could collectively discuss topics of universal human interest.
